In the aftermath of World War I,
Pierre Pellerin De Beauvais, a visionary engineer, decided to put his expertise
to work in rebuilding the country.
He founded Comepa with the aim of actively participating in the electrification of France by designing innovative electromechanical components.

It began with a spark of light. The clarity of a pioneering spirit. After the Second World War, a French engineer named Pierre Pellerin de Beauvais began to design electromechanical components. Comepa and its entrepreneurial spirit were born.

50 years ago, the company developed its bimetal disc thermostat. Comepa then took its first big step into the space industry, when its thermostats were installed on satellites and travelled – quite literally – around the world. Through its pioneering technology, Comepa met the exacting needs of international institutions, space projects and government agencies. Soon, its client base expanded beyond the space industry. The rail, military and wider industrial sectors also turned to Comepa ThermoSens for its ingenuity and expertise. The company had now forged a reputation for excellence and innovative thinking.
But the company’s role as a technological interface did not stop there. Indeed it expanded, as Comepa entered another demanding field – healthcare. The leap from satellites to scalpels was an obvious one. Yet the promise of Comepa HealthCare remained the same – develop technology that combines safety with innovation.
Today, the influx still runs. It's a connection.

The Comepa way – its identity – is one of a continuous flow of innovation. But innovation does not always mean creating something new. It can also mean perfecting what already exists. To advance its technology, Comepa takes direct inspiration from real-world use. Its teams observe and they ask “What can be done to make it better?”

In 2023, the company moved to a certified eco-friendly building in Tremblay, near Paris, where it develops and applies sustainable solutions to its logistics, processes and internal organisation.
